WHAT IS A RAW FOOD DETOX?

A raw food detox is when someone consumes a balanced mix of raw plants (and their juices) prepared below a temperature of 104-116 degrees.  Incorporating the highest-quality, mineral-rich, organic, super foods and super herbs into ones diet will help the body become healthier and more vital.  Saturating the body with enzyme-rich foods and critical minerals restores the body on a molecular level, builds strong cells, raises alkalinity, and grounds the person in a natural world.  Consuming the foods our indigenous bodies were designed for is the key to well-being.

WHY RAW?

Valuable enzymes are destroyed when food is cooked from tempratures ranging from 120 to 170 degrees.    Food is considered "raw" because it is prepared below 104-116 degrees with the intention of enzyme preservation.  Without proper enzymes to break down our food and aid in digestion, we begin to accumulate undigested materials in our system.  Raw food reduces a persons toxic load, restores needed enzymes for digestion, enhances the immune system and helps one gain strides towards health and longevity.  ​

WHY WOULD I NEED TO DETOX?

Toxic foods that have been mass produced laden with chemicals, hormones, pesticides, preservatives, artificial coloring  and modified substances will impair your immune system and load the body with carcinogens.  An overload of toxins from food, air,  products and the environment are absorbed by the body everyday.   Our bodies naturally detox some toxins, but the problem is the amount of exposure in today's world.  We can all  benefit from taking some preventative steps by reducing the toxic overload and becoming more conscious about our choices.

IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO DO BEFORE AND AFTER?

All detoxification strategies should be done with common sense.  Our bodies resist shocking change so we need to ease into the raw food approach at an appropriate pace.  Slowly eliminating caffeine, animal products, dairy, processed junk food and sugar few days prior is recommended.  A raw food detox is not a quick fix.   These programs are designed to help develop healthy and longevity-inducing eating habits.  

CAN I DRINK COFFEE AND/OR ALCOHOL DURING THE DETOX?

To get the optimal benefit from a detox it is recommended that you avoid coffee and alcohol during the cleanse.  Slowly eliminating these in the week prior will decrease detoxification symptoms.

SHOULD I CONTINUE TAKING MY MEDICATION DURING THE DETOX?

If you are taking any prescription medication, it is your responsibility to check with your doctor before starting this service.

CAN I SPECIFY CERTAIN FOODS LIKE I LIKE OR DISLIKE?

It is not normally possible to omit specified ingredients from the meals however, if you are worried about an allergy, it is your responsibility to check the ingredients in advance by contacting therawlush@gmail.com. 

WHAT FOODS CAN I EAT DURING A RAW FOOD DETOX?

Most raw food diets are made primarily of fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. Grains and legumes are often permitted as well, but usually need to be soaked or sprouted before you eat them.

  • All fresh fruits

  • All raw vegetables

  • Raw nuts and seeds

  • Raw grains and legumes, sprouted or soaked

  • Dried fruits and meats

  • Nut milks

  • Raw nut butters

  • Cold-pressed olive and coconut oils

  • Fermented foods like kimchi and sauerkraut

  • Seaweed

  • Sprouts

WHAT IF I HAVE A NUT ALLERGY?

Unfortunately this is a big NO. All meals are made in a kitchen that contains nuts and it is not possible to prepare dishes free from nuts.

WHO SHOULDN'T DETOX?

It is suggested that you should not use the service without specific medical supervision if you are pregnant or breast feeding, or if you have diabetes, cancer or a serious illness.

HOW DO I GET THE MEALS?

Meals will be delivered every other day until the program is complete.  A set time will be confirmed prior to delivery.

WHAT IF I CHANGE MY MIND HALF WAY THROUGH?

There will be no refund for those who do not make it through the detox.

WHAT WILL I FEEL LIKE DURING A DETOX?

When low energy substances are flushed out by higher-energy nutrients, mental states and emotions, you may experience symptoms.  Typical symptoms are headaches, body aches, emotional fluctuations and/or general feelings of discomfort.  Remember, long-lasting change will require stepping out of the comfort zone.

CAN CHILDREN USE THESE PROGRAMS?

It is not recommended that children use any of the detox programs.  However,  children can still enjoy juices designed specifically for them (in the extras page) on the website.

Terms and Conditions

Introduction
1. Thank you very much for accessing this website therawlush.com.   It is appreciated that you are interested in The Raw Lush's services.
2. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. By using this website and placing an order, you are agreeing to the conditions that appear below. These terms and conditions were last updated on April 15th, 2019.  . From time it may be modified so please continue to review them. If at any time you do not wish to accept these conditions, then you may not use this site or services.

Security
1. To order from The Raw Lush, you must set up an account.  This can be done by following the instructions on the website or over the telephone. You must be over 18 years of age. The personal details that you provide are governed by a strict privacy policy. Please see the privacy section below.
 

Payment
1. The Raw Lush reserves the right to suspend deliveries to you and/or terminate our agreement with you if  authority  is refused from your card issuer for payment or it is believed that payment will be refused.  You agree to compensate The Raw Lush in full against any and all reasonable costs and expenses (including reasonably legal costs) that may incur in obtaining payments due from you.
2. If you are aware that a payment has been rejected by your bank,  you must contact The Raw Lush to arrange payment and wait for that payment to go through before you can make orders.
3. All payments must be made in advance, unless expressly agreed in writing by The Raw Lush.  You may not withhold payment of any invoice or other amount due by reason of any right of set off or counterclaim which you may have or allege to have for any reason whatever.
4. Please note that The Raw Lush reserves the right to change prices without prior notice.

 

Ordering
1. All orders must be made (either through the website by you or specifically accepted over the phone or by email) no later than 5pm Friday before the Monday on which the cleanse begins.
2. The Raw Lush is open Monday to Friday. If you wish to make a booking over the weekend you should do so via the website.

 

Cancellations
1. All cancellations must be made (either through the website by you or specifically accepted over the phone or by email) by 9am on Friday for deliveries the following Monday; Cancellations after these times will be charged the full cost of the delivery.
2. All cancellations must be received by 9am on the Friday before the Monday on which the cleanse begins. Any late cancellations will be charged the full amount of the cleanse price.

Delivery
1. The Raw Lush will only make deliveries to the postcodes specified on the website.
2. The Raw Lush reserves the right to refuse orders from customers at our discretion and considerations of delivery problems may give rise to such a refusal.
3. The Raw Lush  will make deliveries to your address as stated when you set up an account or update that address. The Raw Lush reserves the right not to deliver to all locations. You are responsible for making suitable arrangements to receive your delivery and giving appropriate instructions.
4. Changes to your delivery address must be notified within the order deadlines outlined above.
5. If your delivery is stolen from your doorstep or other place specified to us or damaged while there, The Raw Lush will not accept liability and will offer compensation only at The Raw Lush's discretion. Please let The Raw Lush know immediately if you suspect that your delivery has been stolen.  Alternative arrangements will be made if there is a risk that the theft may happen again, which may involve making alternative delivery arrangements.  In the meantime, The Raw Lush reserves the right to suspend your deliveries until new arrangements have been finalized or to cancel your remaining deliveries provided that you are refunded the cost of your remaining orders.
6. If The Raw Lush is unable to deliver to the address you have given for any reason, you will be contacted to make other arrangements. You will be contacted using the telephone number that you have registered on your account and it is your responsibility to ensure that you are available on this number. If you are unreachable or The Raw Lush is unable to deliver in such circumstances,  The Raw Lush reserves the right to charge you for that delivery in any event.
7. The Raw Lush does not guarantee to be able to meet specific delivery time requirements. Time for delivery shall not be the essence of this contract.
8. If The Raw Lush is unable to deliver to you or have to deliver late for reasons beyond control, for example adverse weather conditions, strike actions, vehicle breakdown, driver accident, traffic congestion or supplier failure, The Raw Lush cannot accept liability for any inconvenience or loss this causes.
9. The Raw Lush will not charge you for incorrect products or products that have not delivered in accordance with these terms and conditions. Otherwise, the  liability in respect of incorrect delivery is limited to the price of the incorrect products.

 

Refunds
1. You must inspect all deliveries as soon as possible after you have received them and notify The Raw Lush promptly if you find any defects by calling or emailing using the contact details on the website. If you do not inform the The Raw Lush by 1pm on the delivery day of any such problems, The Raw Lush reserves the right not to refund or replace the item and you will be deemed to have accepted your delivery for that day.  The Raw Lush reserves the right to collect and inspect any delivery for which you request a refund.
2. If you request a refund for any reason, it is The Raw Lush's decision to calculate a refund or partial refund.

 

Health and nutritional information
1. The Raw Lush does not guarantee to meet any specific health or dietary requirements or objectives.
2. The Raw Lush deliveries may not be suitable for everyone, for example those with a compromised digestive system or significant blood sugar instability.  This service should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women without your own medical supervision. If you have any concern, you are taking specific medication or have a medical condition it is your responsibility to check with your doctor before placing an order.
3. The Raw Lush is not obliged to accept your dietary preferences or requirements.  If you have special requests or wish to omit certain ingredients please call or email The Raw Lush to check if this is possible in advance of placing your first order. However, please bear in mind that The Raw Lush cannot guarantee to accept your requests to make significant changes to the menus. The Raw Lush reserves the right to charge an additional fee for any menu or ingredient adjustments that is agreed to make for you.
4. It is your responsibility to inform The Raw Lush of any food allergies or intolerances before you begin using this service.  The Raw Lush regrets unable to accept clients with food allergies that result in anaphylactic shock without specific prior written consent.  In ordering from The Raw Lush,  you acknowledge that The Raw Lush cannot be responsible for any reaction that you may have to any menu ingredient.
5. While the website and other information that the Raw Lush

may send you provides general information on health and nutrition, this does not in any way constitute medical advice or health claims and is not tailored to your specific requirements.

 

Availability of the website
1. Although The Raw Lush aims to offer you the best service possible, there is no promise that the  website services will meet your requirements and The Raw Lush cannot guarantee that the service will be fault free. If a fault occurs with the service, please report it as soon as possible using the contact details on the website and the fault will be corrected as soon as it reasonably can.
 

Warranties
1. While The Raw Lush tries to ensure that material included on the website or any other material is correct,  The Raw Lush cannot accept responsibility if, despite endeavours, this is not the case.  Without prejudice to your rights, The Raw Lush may correct any inaccuracies or errors and will not be responsible for any such inaccuracies or errors or for the results obtained from the use of such information.

1. Please note that The Raw Lush will use your personal information to send you deliveries and to communicate with you about your deliveries and The Raw Lush's services in general.  Your information will not be shared with anyone else without your consent.  You may at any time request to see, change, correct or delete your information.
 

Miscellaneous
1. This website is operated by The Raw Lush. 
2. You may not assign, sub license or otherwise transfer any of your rights under these terms and conditions.
